Mary had 34 years’ experience of working in a variety of healthcare settings as a nurse, manager and back care advisor. Mary joined Arjo in 2004 and has worked as a clinical specialist, sales, contract and marketing manager, before taking up her current position of clinical consultancy manager. She leads a national team who provide a range of assessments, consultation and education programmes to support a care facility's clinical, operational and financial requirements.
Mary has presented at international and national conferences on a variety of subjects. She has also published on the management of plus size people; early mobilisation and rehab; strategies for reducing harm by empowering movement leading to improved outcomes and person centred care.
I have been a longstanding member of National Back Exchange, previously serving as chair of the Oxford group, regional officer and conference & events coordinator. I have joined this year, the National Board of Directors as Publications Director. I am looking forward to the challenge and exploring how we can influence and drive improved outcomes across the various care sectors we engage with.
