Exec Vacancies

Whilst many of us have been spending more and more time time online for many years, mobility restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 crisis has seen a rapid digital adoption across healthcare, with moving and handling no exception.   Like many organisations, NBE has had to adapt as a result of the COVID pandemic.

Our members are ever more tech savvy, with increasing numbers using the NBE website and social media, and as such the Exec Committee has been working hard over the past year to ensure that we can meet the needs of our members, and support the moving and handling community now and for the future.  A website update (prettier and easier to navigate), Column in digital format, social media support for Members' Forum discussion topics, a Video Library, Chat Live zoom discussions are just some of the initiatives that you will have seen implemented.

To continue to meet the needs of our members, we are have updated some of the existing Exec Committee roles to help better support the organisation, membership, and wider moving and handling community moving forward.  With a number of the current exec team retiring from their posts having served the maximum term allowed, we are now looking for passionate people to fill the roles detailed below.

The NBE Exec Committee is made up of individuals from across the moving and handling community on a voluntary basis (travel expenses are paid).  There is no qualification or education requirement, simply that you have a passion for Moving and Handling, and a willingness to devote some of your spare time to promote the work of NBE and help lead the strategic direction of the organisation. In return, you will work with a fantastic group of like minded people, learn/develop new skills, and get the opportunity to network with a wide range of individuals and businesses.

Our current team are from a diverse background, with Clinicians from the NHS, private sector, freelance, as well as sales and marketing professionals who work for moving and handling suppliers.
