Column 32.3

Hitting your inbox tomorrow will be issue 32.3 of column, the journal of National Back Exchange. Hoorah!

The features this issue are:

>>> Day in the Life of a Pippa Stanford - giving back to the community

>>> Opportunities for members to get involved

>>> Do you like your law dry, medium or sweet - article by Michael Mandelstam

>>> Manual Handling and Safeguarding by Pip Dennis and Jo Brown

Pip and Jo are new authors to NBE and their article is based on the session they gave at conference 2019. This article explores the work of the Moving and Handling team at West Sussex County Council (WSCC) and the innovative strategy to handle and reduce safeguarding referrals related to manual handling of people in care homes.
Michael's article considers how decision making is looked at in the law in order to help us understand the importance of demonstrating our processes for the actions we take.

Looking forward to welcoming Penny onto the next issue as a guest editor and also the start of a new approach to product reviews - the user review. See the journal for more details.
