Manual handling has always been a big part of my nursing career and a particular interest to me with a focus of both staff and patient safety.

Most recently I have progressed into a more corporate role supporting the organisation with a strategic approach with policy and guideline writing of manual handling (lifting and moving) and a stake holder within multiple safety groups.

I currently manage both Manual handling and Core risk medical device' teams ensuring that as an organisation we have an effectively skilled workforce.

I have recently completed my NHS leadership BSc with an emphasis on service improvement and patient centred approach.

I have recently joined the National Back Exchange to co-inside with my role and valued the contribution that it offers as an organisation, I am also a member of the west midlands NBE group.

I am passionate about safe and affective handling techniques and pleased I have this opportunity to join the board of trustees to support & develop our members and grow the organisation forward.
